April 4, 2006, Walla, Walla, Washington: The Soda Works, the Washington State-based manufacturer of soda blasting equipment and materials/media distributor, today announced that Paul Alexander has joined the company as its Vice President. As such, Paul is responsible for day-to-day operations, customer relations and service, and the development and fulfillment of effective distribution strategies.
"With his excellent skills and background with customers, as well as handling and managing multiple projects and orders concurrently, we are excited to have Paul join our operation," says Joe Alexander, Founder and President of The Soda Works. "As a small company, it has always been our priority to put the customer first. Whether building our equipment or solving issues in the field, this has worked well. Now that we have increased our order book dramatically-we've grown roughly 50% in the past year-it is vital that we handle both our own soda blasting projects as well as the needs of Buster Blaster contractors with efficiency and effectiveness. Paul's skills and personality fit perfectly with these needs," continued Alexander.
Paul's background includes owning and operating several small businesses including a book bindery and a bar as well as being a fire fighter and bus driver. He is married and a father of two. His position with the company marks the fourth generation of Alexander's to work together in a family-owned business. As he says, "I'm the next generation of the Alexander family to believe that integrity is what makes one successful and that the customer is, indeed, always right!"
The Soda Works is the only national manufacturer of Buster Blaster, the original mobile soda blasting unit developed in 1997. Soda blasting is applicable to automotive, food processing, marine, road and highway maintenance and any other category where high pressure techniques are required. The Soda Works distributes Natrium-the preferred soda blast media-as well. It is a subsidiary of A&A Autobody, Inc. and dates back to the Alexander Motor Company, founded in 1937.
