November 8, 2006, Walla, Walla, Washington: The Soda Works, the Washington State-based manufacturer of soda blasting equipment and materials/media distributor, today announced that it has been issued U.S. Patent number 7,135,945 for the technology they developed to perfect their "Buster Blaster" soda blasting equipment.
"We have been developing this technology for over 5 years," says Joe Alexander, Founder and President of The Soda Works. "Soda blasting is not the same thing as sand blasting and you just can't take a sand blasting pot, put soda in it and expect it to work. We have put a lot of our R & D resources into perfecting our design and now have the only patented true Soda Blaster that will work flawlessly as it should."
The Soda Works, Inc. is the only national manufacturer of Buster Blaster, the original mobile soda blasting unit developed in 1997. Soda blasting is applicable to automotive, food processing, marine, road and highway maintenance and any other category where high pressure techniques are required. The Soda Works distributes Natrium-the preferred soda blast media-as well. It is a subsidiary of A&A Autobody, Inc. and dates back to the Alexander Motor Company, founded in 1937.
